Description

Iron-sulfur clusters (ISC) are part of the active site of many enzymes and are essential for cell viability. Our study is focused on de novo synthesis of ISC in mitochondrion of Trypanosoma brucei. Additionally, thanks to wonderful collaboration with Juan D Alfonzo (Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA) we are also interested in the role of the ISC pathway on tRNA modifications and editing.
