We are pleased to announce a significant achievement of the students from the Arbovirology Laboratory, who were recognized at the international scientific conference, the 16th International Symposium on Ticks and Tick-borne Diseases, attended by leading experts in the field of tick-borne disease research.

Monika Čížková, a master's program student, received the Best Poster Award for her presentation titled

She earned this recognition in competition with 105 poster presentations. This is an outstanding achievement, particularly considering that it was her first participation in an international conference. Congratulations on this exceptional accomplishment!

Jan Kamiš, a doctoral student, was awarded second place in the Sinnecker-Kunz Award category for his research contribution
"Tick-borne viral pathogens in ticks and human patients from the Czech Republic."
This award reflects the high scientific quality of his work and its contribution to the study of tick-borne viral pathogens.

We sincerely congratulate both awarded students and thank them for representing our laboratory with distinction on an international scientific level.
