10th Annual Volleyball Tournament at the Biology Center

On Saturday, November 23, the 10th annual volleyball tournament took place. As always, teams from the Parasitology, Entomology, and Hydrobiology Institutes participated. The fourth team was initially planned to consist of staff from the Technical and Administrative Support (THS), but due to various complications, including illnesses, it was not possible to complete the lineup. The team was therefore supplemented with players from other institutes and family members.

This year, the matches were exceptionally close, with every point fiercely contested. In the end, the Entomology Institute emerged victorious, claiming the trophy from the Hydrobiology Institute, which had held it for the past three years. The Parasitology Institute secured second place, while the Hydrobiology Institute finished third.

After the tournament, players, family members, and friends celebrated the sporting achievements in a nearby clubhouse. A heartfelt thanks goes to the Biology Center and its individual institutes for their financial support, which covered the costs of gym rental and gift baskets for all teams.

The tournament once again showcased not only the participants' enthusiasm for sports but also the friendly atmosphere among staff and their loved ones. We look forward to next year’s event!
