Postdoctoral positions
The Hu lab in Biodesign Center for Mechanisms of Evolution at Arizona State Univerity is looking for highly motivated post-doctoral candidates with experience in cell and molecular biology.
Our lab uses a human parasite, Toxoplasma gondii, and its free-living relatives in the phylum Apicomplexa as model organisms, and applies state-of-the-art microscopy, molecular genetics and proteomics techniques to explore basic biological questions (e.g. How does a cell construct, count, move or generate force?). Candidates who are interested to explore cellular construction and cell biology in general, and investigate the evolution of the parasitic lifestyle, taking advantage of the richly detailed and invariant cell architecture of a fascinating and medically important parasite, are encouraged to apply.
